
Why don’t you join this Deep Japan experience?
You can enjoy shaving dried mackerel and bonito using two kinds of special tools, the small slicer for home use and the big shaving machine. The mackerel and bonito are fished in Numazu and processed using traditional smoking technique inherited from 17th century. We give instructions on how to shave them beautifully and safely in a courteous manner. You can taste the flakes whenever you want to, or take them back home. Children can join it, too. Please tell us the ages of them in advance so that we can prepare gloves for them. English speaking staff will help you if you need. Feel free to take photos during the entire experience.

【B】Dried mackerel and bonito shaving
Fee: 6,000yen
Time: 11:00am on weekdays (Approximately 60 minutes)
