Cora Farm, located right next to our factory, is a vegetable garden where Ms. Corazon, who has worked at the factory for many years, enjoys growing vegetables in her spare time.

A variety of vegetables are cultivated throughout the seasons, and the farm becomes lively with each harvest.

One of the fertilizers used in this garden is fish meal (fish-based fertilizer), a by-product generated during the drying process of dried bonito production.

In fact, fish meal has long been valued as a natural fertilizer for farming. In the past, local residents would even come to collect it for use in their own fields, making it a resource that has been shared and utilized within the community.

It is quite fascinating to think that, in a garden next to a dried bonito factory, this fish meal helps nourish and grow fresh vegetables.

When you think about it, it is a wonderful connection.

In the production of dried bonito, not only the fish itself but also by-products such as its head and tale are put to good use in various ways. As a result, very little goes to waste.

Whenever we see the healthy vegetables growing beside the factory, we are reminded that the long-standing wisdom of making the most of every resource is still very much alive today.
